2008 Relay to Remember In aid of South Tipperary

Alzheimer Society of Ireland

The event will be held on Saturday 23rd August 2008 and will run over 24 hours. It is a Guinness World Record™ attempt. We are attempting to set a new world record for the most participants to run in a 100m relay race in 24 hours. It is hoped that we will have between 1500 and 2000 participants in this event and all participants will be issued with a sponsorship card. This is a fun event and is open to all ages from toddlers to pensioners. The event will be run under strict guidelines as set out by Guinness World Records ™.

Home Care Service: The home care service

assigns a trained dementia care worker to provide support and care in a person’s residence for a designated number of hours per week.

Carer Support Group: This network of carers supporting carers provides a vital opportunity to discuss situations and share experiences in a safe and open environment.

The Alzheimer National Helpline: This is a confidential, free phone listening service which provides information, support,
